Who I am is a woman who desires God’s will above my own, and I’m committed to obeying the Holy Spirit’s leading in my life.

My goal here is simply to encourage you to do the same: to lay down your preferences and be bold for truth. My desire is for you to draw a line in the sand, to know where you stand when it comes to these difficult passages in Scripture.

Should you choose to cover your head when you pray, I hope you only do it from a place of obedience to the Lord out of love for him, and to stand tall against the negative effects of postmodernism in Christianity.

I didn’t realize it, but the simple goal I set in the spring of 2015 completely changed my life. I told my now-husband, Silas, that I was contemplating reading the Bible, cover-to-cover. “Well, let’s start reading Genesis chapter one” he replied. I assumed that was the beginning, but admittedly I wasn’t certain. I still didn’t have a clue what the numbers indicated before and after the colons when people quoted the Bible! (I could only look up verses thanks to Google, I had no idea how to use that nifty little “chapter: verse number” system.)
